What is a laser facial?
A unique facial rejuvenation option that produces dramatic results, laser skin tightening effectively reduces the appearance of
wrinkles and loose skin for a smoother and more youthful appearance.
Laser skin tightening is a non-invasive, non-surgical process that uses an infrared light source (a laser) to tighten skin by
heating the dermis layer under the skin's surface, causing the skin to contract (tighten), and then later to produce new collagen.
Facial skin tightening is noticeable immediately after the treatment, and there is no downtime, making this an increasingly popular
procedure. Additional skin tightening occurs over the next few months, but optimal results usually require three or four treatments
about a month apart. Skin tightening can also be performed on most other areas of the body.
What about risks?
One of the greatest benefits of laser skin tightening is the minimal amount of risk associated with the procedure. Skin tightening
occurs immediately, and results continue to improve over the next several weeks. Risks associated with laser skin tightening include
temporary reddening of the skin, a slight chance of scarring, and the possibility of brief lightening or darkening of the skin in
treated areas.
What else can a laser facial do?
Utilizing two different wavelengths, (depending upon the client's specific Fitzpatrick Skin type) a laser facial can be performed to
reduce the look of broken capillaries, redness from flushing disorders, diffused redness, etc. or hyper-pigmentation from age/sun spots,
freckles, etc.

Laser Hair Removal Frequently Asked Questions
Is laser hair removal permanent?
Yes it is! The hair that is treated during a laser removal session is dead, and will not grow back. New technology is capable of producing 80-90 percent or better permanent reduction on any skin type, and regardless of gender. It is common to need maintenance sessions infrequently (such as annually), as previously dormant follicles become active.
How many treatments will i need?
6-8 treatments is average, but every person is different, and every body part responds at it's own rate. Personal expectations play a role in number of sessions needed. Some people just want more sparse growth, some want as much hair removed as possible.
How long do I wait between treatments? How do I know when to come back in?
Facial and neck areas, underarms, and bikini are most effective spaced 4-6 weeks apart, back, chest and abdomen 6-8 week intervals, and legs, feet, and arms 8-10 weeks. After 50% or more of your hair has been removed, you can schedule your sessions within 7-10 days after the appearance of new stubble.
Will I have hair between sessions?
The treated area will be cleared of most of the present hair during the treatment, while most of the remainder will shed two weeks post treatment. Depending on the area treated, most will remain smooth and hair free for a few weeks between treatments.
When will I see results?
You will see results with your first session! The hair growth will be less, and the hairs finer and weaker. The follicles will be less visible with each session, and the results will become more and more impressive with each treatment.
What are the risks or possible side effects?
With the right machine, and sufficient skill of the technician, you will not experience any damage to your skin. All the possibilities are short term reactions such as a redness and follicular edema (which is a temporary swelling of the hair root sac with a similar overall appearance as goosebumps). These may take a few minutes to several hours to fade away. Most people can get treated during their lunch time and there will be no visible indications of a treatment when they return to their office.
Does laser hair removal hurt?
If you have tried any hair removal solution such as waxing, tweezing or electrolysis, along with any type of other laser and flash-lamp equipment, you will be surprised at how painless our current, new Candela lasers are. Each of the methods mentioned above is more painful than a laser hair removal session with the Gentlemax Pro. There is some slight discomfort associated with it, though most people tolerate it easily.
Is laser hair removal for everyone?
Laser hair removal will NOT work on white, grey, light red or light blond hair follicles. Also people who are experiencing PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) may experience poor results unless they receive medical support along with the laser treatment.
I have ingrown hairs. Will laser help?
Absolutely. Even after one treatment you will notice that most of your ingrowns will be terminated. Within few weeks, the area will be smooth and the color of your skin will return to your original skin color.
What should I do before/after laser hair removal?
Your hair needs to be as short as possible for this treatment to be effective. Therefore we do recommend you to shave at least a day or two before. Since we will cover the entire area in each of your sessions (except for clean-up sessions) we do not actually need to see the hair. Shaving it removes the surface debris and allows the laser beam to penetrate and kill the root as it should.
After the treatments we advise you to treat your skin gently for the next 24 hours. Taking showers with boiling hot water, sweating excessively, rough exfoliating or products that contain a lot of chemical ingredients should be avoided since they can cause itchy, sensitive skin. After this period of time you can return to your daily habits with little to no issue.
What about tanning? I keep hearing it's bad for you to do when receiving laser hair removal.
A lot of people think tanning is dangerous combined with laser because the darker your skin, the riskier the treatment. This is completely false. We treat African American skin types every day, so dark skin is really not the issue here. The real problem is that tanning is a process that causes a lot of heat to accumulate on your skin. Laser, even though you won't feel it that way, is a source of heat as well. Therefore, you must space out tanning and laser sessions to avoid the overheating of your skin. In other words, tanning and laser CAN BE compatible as long as you make sure there is enough time between them (usually 2-4 weeks).
Toenail Fungus Treatment Frequently Asked Questions
How does the treatment work?
The laser penetrates the toenail and vaporizes the fungus embedded in the nail plate and nail bed where toenail fungus exists. The laser is set to specifically target the cells responsible for the infection.
Are the laser treatments for fingernail and toenail fungus painful?
The laser will have no effect on healthy tissue, it will only target the infected areas. A person undergoing these treatments should experience no discomfort.
How long does the treatment take?
It takes under 30 minutes to treat all toes.
Is this treatment safe?
Very safe! There are no known side effects, injuries, or adverse reactions for this treatment.
How soon will I see improvement on my nails after my treatment?
On average a healthy toenail will replace itself every 6-9 months through natural growth. Healthy new growth will be visible within the first three months as the new nail replaces the old.
Do I need to use some type of medication during this treatment?
No medication is necessary during this treatment. As always, consult your doctor with any questions.
