Here at Frederick’s we are known for our exceptional customer experience. Boasting a wonderful Customer Support team that is focused on providing every guest with an incredible experience we don't look at clients as dollar signs. We know our guests by name and we create lasting connections and relationships.

What We Offer

  • Flexible Schedule: We know not everyone wants or needs to work a full 5-day work week. That is why here at Frederick’s we have no requirements for work schedule. You tell us when you want to work and we work around YOU.

  • Wellness: We take wellness seriously. We meet with each provider at least once a month to talk about LIFE. That’s right. Not only do we coach you and continue your professional growth we also check in with you personally to ensure YOU are okay mentally.

  • Great Work Environment at an established salon: Frederick’s has undergone massive transformations in the last twelve months. We have remodeled our salon, and improved our nail studio experience, with more improvements on the way our facility is equipped to take you and your client's experience to the next level.

  • Team Events: Every month we gather as a team outside of work to have fun together. Whether it's a nice dinner or a fun night of bowling we make sure to take time to unplug and get to know each other outside of the salon. These events help us continue to connect and grow together and give all of our providers a sense of community and belonging.

At Frederick’s Day Spa Salon, we’re proud to offer the only Associate Program of its kind in the area—a paid, hands-on training experience that prepares you to launch a successful, long-term career in the beauty industry. As an Associate Service Assistant, you are much more than a trainee: you are an essential member of our team.


While many salons focus only on education or only on labor, we combine the best of both: you’ll gain advanced training alongside real-world experience supporting the salon floor, front desk, and customer experience. This hybrid role ensures you are not only building your technical craft, but also developing the business, customer service, and teamwork skills that will make you a standout professional.

Key Responsibilities:
 

Education & Mentorship:

 

  • Participate actively in assigned education, technical classes, and hands-on mentorship

  • Complete all training programs: Assisting, Customer Expert, Opening & Closing Procedures, and Department Specific.

  • Assist your mentors with formulations, shampooing, prepping stations, laundry, and inventory.

  • Transition gradually from assistant to associate, seeing your own clients while continuing to assist when you have downtime.

 

Salon Support:
 

  • Complete assistant checklists to maintain cleanliness and order.

  • Stay mobile and engaged, offering proactive support across all areas of the salon.

  • Stock café, check-in product deliveries, and assist with warehouse organization.

  • Be a “jack of all trades,” ready to step in wherever help is needed.


Customer Experience:
 

  • Check-in and check-out clients efficiently, creating a welcoming and memorable experience.

  • Communicate salon policies (credit card, child, and late policies) clearly and professionally.

  • Guide new clients through tours, highlight current specials, and ensure client forms are complete.

  • Monitor the schedule, anticipate needs, and step in when providers are running behind (offering drinks, prepping clients, etc.).

  • Help open and close the salon following established procedures.

 

What We Expect:

  • Always stay busy and proactive, even when not in active training.

  • Be adaptable—ready to assist on the floor, at the desk, or behind the scenes.

  • Bring curiosity, energy, and a desire to learn.

  • Actively promote yourself on social media and follow all Frederick’s Day Spa Salon social media policies

  • Upon graduation, bring in 2–3 clients per week to continue building your book.
